I had a pretty neat experience recently...
I had pulled into the parking lot of a store, and as I opened my car door to get out, I looked down and found a small, ladies purse on the ground, kind of like a clutch. No one was around, so I assumed it was lost, and I went to open it. I found a BUNCH of cash in it, and I started shouting prayers of gratitude and thanksgiving! But then... I quickly realized... it... wasn't mine...... :(
Now, there were also credit cards and several forms of ID, so whoever lost this was surely going to miss it. So I decided I would go into the store to get what I came for, and if it was still there when I came back to my car, I would take action.
Well, it was, so I went back inside and turned it in to the store manager. The manager said "Thank you very much, we've been looking for this". I knew right then that I had done the right thing. But...... just before handing it over to the manager, I stuffed a crisp one dollar bill inside the purse... And then I got to thinking... that just may have been the only time that a person had ever LOST their wallet and actually MADE money!
